New for 2008
New-design reed-valve spacer improves acceleration across the entire powerband. New, YZ250F-style front-brake caliper (-220 grams) and light, wave-type discs (-70 grams) front and (-70 grams) rear remove unsprung weight and provide excellent stopping power. A new, pushrod-type front master cylinder with a smaller piston serve up great braking power. Modifying thickness of outer fork tubes in the 48mm inverted fork result in a weight reduction of 200 grams. Revised damping settings provide fantastic bump absorption and comfort. A 120-gram lighter fork protector, axle bracket and the new front brake add up to a 500-gram lighter front end--and even quicker, lighter handling. Revised rear shock settings complement the ones in the fork.

YZ85 - Liquid-cooled, 85cc crankcase reed-valve inducted six-speed is light, compact and designed to deliver hard-hitting, moto-winning power throughout the rpm range. Ultra-rigid, single backbone, semi-double cradle steel frame is lightweight and strong for sharp handling. Fully adjustable suspension allows a broad adjustment range to suit everybody from rank novice to mini expert.
